- Democracy - Freedom - Arts - A piece written on the web as part of the "24 Hours of Democracy" web project which protested the Communications Decency Act and demonstrated the community of the web. My piece focused on the arts and freedom of expression.
- 7 Days of Democracy - A web piece describing the "24 Hours of Democracy" project. This piece was featured on the main site of the project. (note: external links given inside the piece are likely to be out of date -- many will not work).
- The Arts: Blasphemous, Traitorous, Homoerotic, and Pornographic - An article from 1990 about perceptions of the arts and our failure to teach people how to "view" art.

- The Boat-ist (A Fable) - This fable about a man and his boat may help some people to understand naturism just a little bit better.
Academic Writings
- The Computer and the Arts - A proposal for a general education course in arts and the internet, focusing on teaching students to use critical skills to be their own "curators" on the net.
